Short bio
In 1981, José was born in Salta, Argentina where he grew up being the oldest of three brothers and one sister. He lived near the town of La Isla, a peaceful country-side area, just 5 km away from the city of Salta. He did the elementary school at the rural schools of La Isla and La Candelaria. He did his undergraduate studies at a technical school with focus on Computer Science. He followed up on this path to finish a Engineering on Computer Science at Salta’s National University. Next to this, he showed a huge interest in discrete mathematics by following some post-graduate courses. His MSc-equivalent title has obtained in collaboration with Bell Labs in the USA.
In 2006, he joined the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands where he obtained the title of Doctor. The subject of his research is in the areas of Secure Multiparty Computation.
Since 2010, he works at ASML, the worldwide market leader in the development of lithographic systems. He is currently working as a Software Architect.
